FULL TIME OPPORTUNITY FOR A CNC SETUP OPERATOR TO EXCEL WITHIN A CUTTING-EDGE AEROSPACE COMPONENT MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT.
Candidates must have a work history operating basic manual tool room machinery and CNC lathes and mills with experience setting up new machining jobs using modern tooling and machining techniques. Candidate must be self-motivated to excel and seek out excellence in all aspects of the manufacturing process. The CNC Setup Operator is responsible for tooling up CNC machines, setting up CNC machines for new and re-occurring short run production jobs, optimizing machine cutting uptime, and training operators to constantly improve quality outcomes. The candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a lifelong track record of hands-on experience, attention to detail, and a great team work ethic.
Dual spindle live tooling CNC lathe setup & operation
5 axis CNC mill operation
Short run production and R&D prototype work
Working with engineering team to review machining strategies
Re-tooling machines for new jobs
Preventative maintenance of machine shop equipment
Fabricating special tooling using conventional tool room lathe & mill
Maintaining a professional and neat machine shop work area
Using and maintaining precision inspection and measurement tools
Performing First Article Inspections for new parts and setups
Maintaining quality and safety standards

Team oriented and trustworthy, a history of demonstrating good character and integrity (At least 2 Academic, Professional, or Faith based References are required)
Personal responsibility to take ownership of tasks and focus on achieving outcomes while avoiding distractions
Interpreting drawings and standard GD&T
High school diploma or GED
Experience operating CNC machine tools:
Level I: Minimum of 3 years setting up and operating CNC machining centers
Level II: Minimum of 5 years setting up and operating CNC machining centers
Level III: Minimum of 10 years setting up and operating CNC machinery
College or trade school graduate or other training certificate
Sound understanding of required speeds and feeds for various materials and cutting tools
Up to speed on the latest cutting tool technologies
Experience with military or commercial aircraft or spacecraft components
Working knowledge of machine shop preventative maintenance
Strong math, computer software, and decision-making skills
Good verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently or as part of a team, meeting aggressive schedules
Must be open to work variable schedules including overtime or weekends as needed
Must be open to travel to customer and vendor locations
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted
Sumbit at least two (2) professional references available for referral call
