FULL TIME OPPORTUNITY FOR A CNC PROGRAMMER TO EXCEL WITHIN A CUTTING-EDGE AEROSPACE COMPONENT MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT.
Candidates must have a work history operating basic manual tool room machinery and CNC lathes and mills with experience programming and setting up new machining jobs using modern CAM software and manufacturing techniques. Candidate must be self-motivated to excel and seek out excellence in all aspects of the manufacturing process. The CNC Programmer is responsible for CAM based programming of CNC machines, setting up CNC machines for new and re-occurring short run production jobs, optimizing machine cutting uptime, and training operators to constantly improve quality outcomes. The candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a lifelong track record of hands-on experience, attention to detail, and a great team work ethic.
CNC programming within advanced CAM software
3D modelling of tooling, fixtures, and components
Fabricating special tooling
Documenting machine setups and inspection plans
Interfacing with Manufacturing Engineer to draft necessary job travelers and procedures
Maintaining a professional and neat machine shop work area
Creating and maintaining tooling lists and libraries
Performing First Article Inspections for new parts and setups
Training & mentoring of operators and technicians

High school diploma or GED
Experience operating and programming CNC machine tools:
Level I: Minimum of 2 years (Hobby shops, apprenticeships, or trade school courses may be considered)
Level II: Minimum of 5 years programming/setup experience
Level III: Minimum of 10 years programming/setup experience
Level IV: Minimum of 15 years programming/setup experience
Level V: Minimum of 20 years programming/setup experience
College or trade school graduate or other CAM training certificate
Working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS & HSM Works or MASTERCAM
Sound grasp of required speeds and feeds for various aerospace materials
Up to speed on the latest cutting tool technologies
Capable of interpreting and creating drawings with all the common GD&T callouts for precision parts
Familiarity with outside/secondary processing techniques for machined parts
Experience with military or commercial aircraft or spacecraft components
Familiarity with cleanliness standards
Familiarity with “lights out” automated manufacturing techniques
Working knowledge of machine shop preventative maintenance
Strong mathematical, computer software, and decision-making skills
Good verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently or as part of a team, meeting aggressive schedules
Must be open to work variable schedules including overtime or weekends as needed
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
