Candidates should possess a combination of strong electrical power & data system design and build experience, solid mechanical knowledge, and hands-on testing or test equipment experience. Candidate must possess the willingness and drive to learn and excel in a small team environment with a diverse array of responsibilities. The Test Systems Engineer candidate is responsible for design, development, production, and activation of specialized test equipment used in the aerospace and aviation industry for component and system level checkouts of flight hardware. This is a dynamic position that requires the flexibility to adapt quickly between different roles and requires a broad skill set with high emphasis on prior hands on experience working on complex systems. The Test Systems Engineer must be capable of integrating software, electrical systems, and hardware to solve complex problems. The candidate should possess an innate ability to troubleshoot issues with control software, mechanical hardware, and electrical systems. The candidate should be accustomed to setting and maintaining challenging schedules while keeping safety and quality at the forefront of every activity.

BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience designing and building complex systems such as a vehicle or propulsion system or as a test engineer in support of aviation, aerospace, or other rigorous hardware development programs
Level I: Minimum of 2 years (Extracurricular collegiate projects and club experience may be considered).
Level II: Minimum of 2 years industry experience
Level III: Minimum of 5 years industry experience
Strong working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D modelling, analysis, and drawing environments
Strong working knowledge of LabVIEW for Data Acquisition, Control, and Automation
Candidate is comfortable building and testing mechanical and electrical hardware
High degree of comfort with the integration of software, electrical, and mechanical systems with demonstratable experience
Test Data analysis and report generation
PCB design experience
Machining, fabrication, and or welding experience
Experience with aviation or aerospace testing requirements
Project management skills with direct customer facing experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Must be a good communicator, both internally within the organization as well as with customers and vendors.
Advanced PC proficiency and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
Willing to work in a small company environment with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy

Experience in preparing and presenting technical materials during Aerospace and Defense PDR/CDR as well as on customer calls
Mechanical engineering skills including 3D Modeling, Tolerance stack-up, GD&T, FMEA, Verification Matrices, compliance matrices, specification reviews, design reviews (PDR, CDR, Etc.), test plans (QTP, ATP), new business technical proposals, Lessons Learned application, risk analyses, weight analyses, project schedules.
Must be open to work variable schedules including overtime or weekends as needed
Must be open to travel to customer and vendor locations (No more than 20% of time)
Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
