Candidates should possess a well-rounded foundational knowledge of electromechanical systems with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience and a desire to learn and solve problems quickly. The Test Technician is responsible for assembly and testing of aerospace test systems and components including electrical and mechanical elements. This is a dynamic position that requires the flexibility to adapt quickly between different roles and a proficiency in a broad set of trades. The candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a lifelong track record of hands on experience and attention to detail with a desire to excel.
Assembling valves, regulators, filters, and other fluid system components
Inspecting precision machined components
Operating shop machinery
Performing high pressure pneumatic and hydraulic testing
Operating test system equipment, reading instrumentation and using computer systems to log test results
Assembling test system frames, sheet metal assemblies, and overall system integration
Building wire harnesses – Soldering, Crimping, Routing, Labelling, Testing
Fabricating tube assemblies – Cutting, Facing, Bending, Flaring, Cleaning, Testing
Troubleshooting components and test system anomalies
Maintaining a professional and neat work area

Team oriented and trustworth, a history of demonstrating good character and strong values
High school diploma or GED
Experience fabricating, repairing, or maintaining complex systems such as cars, aircraft, helicopters, or propulsion systems or related test and support systems
Level I: Minimum of 2 years (Hobbies, DIY projects, or club experience may be considered)
Level II: Minimum of 5 years industry experience
Level III: Minimum of 10 years industry experience
Trade school or other training certificate, A & P license desired
5+ years of hobby experience building or fixing complex equipment
Experience with aircraft or spacecraft components and testing
Familiarity with cleanliness standards
Familiarity with electrical power systems and or robotics
Training in the assembly, installation, removal and tear down of components
High pressure pneumatic system safety
Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices
Intermediate mathematical skills (Trig)
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel)
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Good verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently or as part of a team, meeting aggressive schedules
Must be open to work variable schedules including overtime or weekends as needed
Must be open to travel to customer and vendor locations
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted
Sumbit at least two (2) professional references available for referral call
